    Early evening, cloudy, overcast conditions. 20D, 1-400L @ 400mm, f5.6, 1/400s, ISO 800.

    Beautiful subject, I like the pose. I also really like the pebbles it is standing on. You could extend the right (if you have it) to give it a more trsditional 2:3 ratio. Different to see one without all the tall grasses!!

    Steve,

    Colors, composition, exposure all working in this image. I like the pebble ground cover. I think I would have preferred to have the owl looking at you in this image as he just doesn't seem to be looking at anything.
