Hi Andreas, great to see you back, likewise Ed.

I like the head on look and the way the back almost becomes a taller peak of the BKG. I might look at dropping the yellow slightly and certainly in the blue of the sky, likewise, but less so. the red & magenta, WDYT? Adding two small Curve adjustments for the darks & lights of the mid tones just puts a hint more in there to play with. Also I feel I can take a bit more sharpening. We have to remember this is with the MKIII, so compared to more advance cameras now, it stands up well. Good call going portrait and I prefer the RP, the shadows look better, this is why it's important when you darken or lighten (if needed) you need to constantly review otherwise it's looses any real character and use the correct tools.

    Nice one.

I like the RP better as well and I'll let Steve handle the serious comments. My only thought is if you have room and can recrop I might try putting the rhino in the left side showing some of the area around it. Of course if you took it as a vertical the space is most likely not there. Great shot of a wonderful species, tough to get unfortunately.

Yeah, think it could take a bit more sharpening. But perhaps not on the thorny twig that he's eating as that would bring out a lot of halos.
I don't mind the colours and I actually like the slightly warm cast to the image.

Great shot. I like the head on view on the rhino.

It's hard to image what kind of nutrition he get's out of those plants :-)

Classical setting and typical colours of the area. I love the head-on view with the horn smack-dang in the centre of the rump. Repost for me too, Andreas.
He's an old bruiser, I wonder if I also spotted him, will have to check.
