    This is wonderful Alan.
    In this kind of light it is almost impossible not to blow the whites. The white feathers look perfect. Did you expose for the whites and bring up the rest of the bird in PP?
    Love the perch and perfect head and body angle.

    Thanks Gail. I exposed for the whites and toned when down in ACR using the adjustment brush.

    The grosbeak looks awesome! Love the lighting and details on the bird. The perch could have used a little pruning imo. Once one gets over how stunning the bird looks (It takes a while, but it is possible)...I think the slightly oof mass on the perch under the bird's tail could have been pruned off with good effect. That would have taken care of it's covering the tail and primary ends of the bird too. Regardless, if I had taken this, I would have been pumped for weeks and scoffed at such a silly suggestion,... so whatever... :)
