Image taken in 2010 at a local crocodile sanctuary. I found this croc's teeth and snout quite interesting so I tried a narrow depth of field to see if it worked-this is the result.

Thank you so much for viewing, I appreciate any comments, technical or otherwise.
"My what big teeth you have, Grandma. All the better to eat you my dear!" I really like this POV, it has emotional impact and certainly shows the business end of a croc. I also like that one OOF sinister looking eye. Great detail on the (ugly) snout and teeth.
Hi Gabriela, you are posting a nice selection of diverse animals, great, and thank you.
I can see where you are going with your thinking and the image you want to create, however personally I might have gone for a bit more DOF, but it's no deal breaker. Being low down also provides a nice perspective, it just works, love the caked on dirt around the teeth, obviously not flossing . I might be tempted, if you have the time, to also look at perhaps a slightly tighter crop, again this is just personal choice so as presented is fine. Good control of the whites, there is just enough detail, colouring, tone to provide the 3D feel, the moisture also gives a nice 'sheen' to the skin, especially the nose. Not sure what it is, but there is a 'ghosting' around the top dome of the nose, you will see it, masking perhaps? Good detail and sharpness, PP is really coming along, looking forward for you to be teaching me, LOL.

Really nice, Gabriela! Love the shallow DOF personally here, and the low angle is top notch. Really menacing mood here...chomp chomp...!
I agree with Steve, your PP is growing in leaps and bounds since actively participating here (with the right attitude I might add).
I am thrilled with your comments and amused to the point that I am smiling from ear to ear since this afternoon when I checked to see if anyone looked at my sinister- disgusting- unflossed- chompy and ghosty (or may I call it "ghastly") crocodile I got rid of the "ghosting", thank you Steve for pointing this out and cropped a bit more on the top, hope this meets your approval? I will keep both versions though, I like to look back sometime and make up my mind after a while which one I like best.
Morkel, the best thing that happened to me lately in terms of Photography is joining BPN, and I thank you for that. What am I going to do next month in the Kalahari, without my BPN friends? I will miss you guys! Wish I had a satellite phone to connect to my laptop and send you "live" images, wouldn't that be fun? I can just imagine the replies:" not enough DOF", "the whites are blown", "why is the tail not in?" and so forth...I should be saving up for a sat phone
Hey Gabriela this is awesome and can`t fault the PP work in the repost . This is the best forum for advice hands down and has a great close community feel to help you improve with confidence. Love those big pearly whites and tend to agree with Steve regarding DOF. Not a bad thing but the nose feels a little too separate from the rest of the croc. As for my two cents, a slight Gaussian blur might help improve the OOF texture.
