Hi Stuart. A lovely subject. The pollen on his legs tells a story. The stem with bright buds on the right is really pulling my eye. It could prove tricky, but I'd attempt to remove it.

    Best, Dave J.

Great shot Stuart... detail and comp is spot on... would crop the right stem out totally and darken the nightlights on the flower/stamina?... otherwise WD!

Very nice image I would have been tempted to crop to eliminate the right hand stem. I try not to read previous comments but as I scrolled down Jason's comment regarding the stamens caught my eye and it is a good suggestion. The right lower wing has a minor nick in it just dpend if it bothers you but a quick content aware would sort it out.

I do like it better without the poppy. This crop seems a bit tighter, I prefer the original crop with more space on top and the left side.

Works for me with or without the flower buds, but I much prefer the original, looser crop.
