Light quality is good. Beautiful bird. Wish the head was turned towards us and not angled away. Also, compositionally, this feels "tight" on the bottom of the frame to my eye. There is significant digital noise in the background that could be reduced by applying some selective noise reduction in post processing. Could you include what you have done in post, as there appears to be some obvious cloning to the left of the bird, and the trunk of the tree looks funky....?

Ditto Shawn. You got good light and a very pretty subject, but the processing could be improved (not much can be done with the head angle except wait for a better one). Looks like it may have been a significant crop too?

Nice light, but leaving aside the technicals, rather than a finch, this is a Silvereye or White-eye http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvereye

What a sweet little bird, in very nice light. Pose and technics noted.
