    Great subject and perch. Right side of upper wing seems soft but otherwise nice detail. Too bad the background vegetation is so close; this image would pop a lot more with a softer BG. If you are so inclined and have time on your hands you may want to try blurring the BG in post, but getting the selection right may be a lot of work.

    I agree with Mitch. The butterfly and the flower are lovely, however the bkgd is very busy in color and lines, taking away from the main subject.

    Very good shot Stuart, there is an awful lot to get in the same frame so not an easy shot. The left forewing area is a little blurred I suspect this was a little bit of wind as the rest is sharp. With an image such as this I would definitely take several images at different apertures, the subject is relatively large so I suspect you could have gone to f7.1 or f6.3, the background would have been more diffused and the shutter speed faster.
