From Puerto Jimenez on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula, 2010

I often saw Willets walking alone across the mudflats but seldom saw one in the water.

Gone for a pano with this one.

Lovely details and I love the behavior. I would lighten it up a bit.

Great shot. I like the head turn, the pano and the water drops. I agree with Marina about lightening it up a bit.

Nice intimate image. Wish for room for the virtual feet.

Richard, I feel like the bird is a bit squished....crammed in the frame as a result of the pano crop. Might play around just a bit and see if you come up with alternative compositions.

Looks like it was considering or partially taking a bath...The lightening of the image was an improvement. The crop choice does feel tight, especially on the bottom. Would like to see a lower shooting angle here if it was possible.

The lightened repost is much better light-wise...how about also selective enhancing the existing reflection in the eye? The pano crop works well, but I agree the subject feels a bit tight in the frame though.

    Hi

Loosened, no curves, as shot, eye selectively lightened

    thanks for comments

got me thinking , just exactly where would the Willets feet be? Hanging down or out the back?
btw , did take a bath!

For me the last rp is the best, you have done as said x the other reviews and the pic looks great now. The slight lightening of the eye has made it look alive. Nice action and a nice wader to boot.
