This is a larger crop of the same image I posted yesterday. I added 2 textures.

I really like the subtle effect of the textures. I would experiment placing the bird a bit more on the diagonal with its head pointing to the upper right corner, to flow more with the way the eye follows the clouds. Beautiful shades of oranges and deep blues.

Thanks, Nancy! I may try to move the bird later but probably not in time for judging as we just bought a lot of veggies at the farmers market and have to put them in the freezer.

I love this wider view! The clouds near the bottom sweep up so gracefully to hold the others and bring your eye right to the bird. Love the color gradients and textures.

Don't remember if the bird was added but if you're into moving it I think it would be stronger if it wasn't just touching the cloud edge.

Thanks Diane. No the bird wasn't added. I thought about moving it off of the cloud but didn't do it. If I get around to reworking it I will try a content-aware move and also angle it a bit more to the right.

Judy, this version really emphasizes the feel that you were after. If you have time to work on it, I think that moving the heron off the edge of the cloud and angling him will make this a really strong image.

    Thanks Cheryl, I'll try that.
