I like the pose, details, sharpness, size of the perch, colourful bird and BG. A little more of a head turn would have made this even better. Still a great image as presented!

Lovely image with a super pose and nice muted light. Details and colors are great, and I love how the BG matches the bird.

An appealing image, Vishal. I like the space that you have given the bird. The only small thing that I see is that the eye looks a bit washed out, almost a whitish film to it. Maybe darken it just a bit.

I like the composition as is, good placement of subject of in the frame. Having said this...I know you tried a vertical crop and I agree with you that it may have been a little too compact, but did you try some in-camera original verticals too...this would have given you more canvas to play with.

Anyhow, good details, colours, BG and perch.

Awesome detail and light Vishal. Agree with Daniel that a Vert crop might be worth trying,

Hi Vishal, great looking species, one kingfisher that Im not familiar with, and one that I would love to see and capture in camera. I like the deep colours shown, and how he is perched high on the perch. Lovely light, and that BG is sweet.

Lovely portrait of a beautiful bird in good light and sweet BG. Love it. I feel there is a bit empty space behind the bird though and would try to remove a sliver. Well done. Loi

WOW! Beautiful bird, stunning colours Vishal.
as far as the composition goes I like it the way it is.
If you crop it vertically it look s too much like just a bird on a stick, the open space to the right helps create atmosphere, especially as the background is not distracting.
