    Default A cooperative American Goldfinch

    Hello all,

Here is a very cooperative American Goldfinch showing us its bright plumage....

Taken at Sherbrooke, Quebec in a marsh near home, this nice little bird let me come close enough to take this picture... It is a pity that the beak is not in perfect focus but I like very much the bird's pose...

    Any comments about it?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi Michel,
Love that wingspread!!! Very nice BG also......the BG flower in the lower right may detract for some.........but as the pose of the bird is fantastic....doesn't bother me at all.

I too really like the pose, Michel. The colors are bright and the background is very nice - except for the OOF plant in the lower right - if it was mine, I would remove that. The eye and the outstretched wing both seem to be in focus - too bad about the soft beak.

What a treat to the eyes, that wing is gorgeous! I have mixed feeling about the OOF flower, I'd probably leave it too.

Very impressive pose...this shows how large the wings are reletive to the bird - something that is not normally obvious with these birds! The yellows and greens go very well together.

Hello all and thank you very much for your nice comments about my pic :-)

The idea of removing the BG flower seems good effectively...

I will try to remove it...

Thanks again and have a nice day!
