    Default Common Grackle

This was taken a couple of months ago in my backyard. These birds will eat everything but I found a feeder that has finally slowed them down. I put this rock in the grass and spread some sunflower seeds in front. They were happy to get an easy meal. Within minutes I had ten of them around the rock. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Great exposure for the blacks, you have really brought out the colors on the head. Well done Jim.

Excellent image. I like the fluffed feathers, nice details in blacks and blues.Very nice background and perch.
Love the eye. Would crop silver line at the bottom.

I think the ruffled feathers really makes the difference between good and excellent here. This is excellent. I like the colors you achieved on the bird as well, as I feel they are a striking species when captured well. Your style comes through very clearly in this image as well. Nicely done.

Beautiful shot. Clean background, very sharp and I like the perch. Good detail in the black feathers.

Hi Jim, excellent exposure on this dark species, and I really like the blue mixed in around the head. Sweet BG, and I would maybe take a touch off the bottom.
