    Default Eared Pitta

Kinda rounding out my Pitta's I guess.
Caught this one foraging for food for the young. Kinda fun to watch, they will fill there beak's with worms and take back to the nest. Caught this one pretty far out in the jungle.

    1/5, ISO 3200, F/4, Mark IV

Will you look at those settings for the jungle ! This was the biggest shock during my recent trip to the rain-forests of Sabah, often shooting 600mm at 1/125 or removing the TC altogether for the f2.8. Not much light gets down to ground level ! Another fine shot .. especially so at 1/5.

Hey Kevin, I bought the 300 just for deep jungle work. Or under the dense canopy. When I took this it was raining, and had been overcast for days here. I hope you had fun on your recent trip. Did you bag any Pittas?
