Birding help!!

Hi guys,

Not too sure if this is the right forum to post this but I was interested to know about birding sites in and around Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I'm travelling there for a couple of weeks and have 2 weekends to myself basically. Any help will be truly appreciated.

Hi, I am from Canada but the area of High Island, in Texas is not far away from Baton Rouge (about 3 hours drive). I know its a bit far, I've had some great birding and photography in that area. Been there twice. Bring insect repellant! You may not need it but if bugs are bad they can ruin a day quickly.
