Weather is mad here at the moment , temp down to 1/2 what it should be (20 not 40); this has supressed raptor activity?

Anyways heres another Stone' , stalked in open and sitting on one of my fenceposts - I smashed it with a sledgehammer when erecting lol

Just nr to bg, smartsharp after resizing, B&W points set but close anyways, +10on sat

I really like the soft tones here and they all work well together.

Nice pose and colors. The background color compliments the bird's.

Hi Richard, Nice detail and pose, if this were mine I would pull down the mids just a touch and tone down the hot spots on the perch

Ditto Don, and I too feel the subject is tight in the frame. Very pretty bird that you photographed in a perfect profile pose.

Excellent image. Very nice pose, colors, details and color scheme.
Agree about toning down the perch and some more space around the bird.

    Satish.

Looks absolutely superb. Since the BG colors is complimenting very nicely with birds colors, more space looks beautiful.

Lovely image either way. The simple color palette works nicely. I suppose I could imagine a crop halfway in between, but there are infinite possibilities I suppose. In the close-up view, I find the nictitating membrane a slight distraction.

A nice shot, for me a tad bright and perhaps a little more contrast would help. I think initial exposure was perhaps a tad too high?

I'm looking on my laptop screen right now so perhaps it's me, but I see a faint pattern from left to right across the shot in the BG. Much more noticeable in the repost. Does anyone else see that?
