It is mid winter in Johannesburg , but the unusually mild weather has confused the Weavers , and some of them are frantically building nests.
This image was created last week at a small nature reserve near my home.

Neat capture Arno with lot's of sharp detail. I think I would tone down the brightness on the nest just a little if were mine. That nest is an amazing work of art.

Wonderful pose and comp, i would also tone down the brightness on the nest as it pulls the viewers attention form the subject.

Love the image design here, the open wing adds a lot to it too. I agree in toning down the brights on the nest and perhaps reducing the contrast on it too.

Agree about the nest, and easily fixed, but for me this is just fantastically wonderful of the bird!! Maybe a little on the hot side, but it looks so sharp and is so well defined against that lovely BG.

Wonderful action captured. Love the pose of bird with fully open wings, beautiful colors and composition.
Agree with above comments and suggestions. Would also add some space on left side.

This is stunning. I love the full wing extension, colors and great comp. Knocking down the highlights on the nest will put it over the top. Love it.

Pretty fantastic head angle and pose on the bird given the behavioral scenario. Can't imagine a better composition here. Great image.
