Default The Ultimate Scavenger - White Rumped Vulture (Critically Endangered)

A critically endangered white rumped vulture combs through the mortal remains of a spotted deer in the Rajiv Gandhi National Park in Southern India, a place that is bound to surprise in every visit. We were very lucky to spot this guy as the clouds decided to open up after a night of incessant rains in the western ghats. The tough guy was not too bothered by our presence but decided to carry on now that there was not much left to peck!!

nice capture, the bones and carcass show scavenging behavior. I like the foliage but I wish it wasn't blocking parts of the bird. good details but a bit noisy.
