Another Bosque image. In an ideal world, the sandhills would be flying into the frame but they're not

Love those Bosque skies, either with or without birds! This image does a great job of painting a picture of the look and feel that surrounds one when visiting there. The fact that the cranes are flying away from the frame doesn't bother me; it helps to set the tone of the image.

Incredible sky!! I like that the cranes have cleared the busier sky area and are highlighted against the smoother area. I have the feeling it's sunset and they are heading home -- that fits with going out of the frame. (How's that for rationalization?)

Very beautiful sky, brings back memories of my days at Bosque. I wonder why the skies there are usually this color? Fits the theme perfectly. What birds?

Hi, Diane, thanks! And the "going home" was my rationalization also

Stunning sky captured, Cheryl. The "going home" theme is well used by painters much more more than photographers. Brilliant colors and textures in the clouds. Very nice stuff

While I also prefer birds flying towards me, The mood of this sunset scene works better with them flying off (into the sunset after all....). Beautful clouds and color glow.
