Photomigrations Web Site & Debbie Ferrell
Many of us know the web site http://www.photomigrations.com it is owned by Debbie Ferrell. A great many of us got started posting our images and critiquing using her site. Sad to say the site will be closing down in mid-August for various reasons. I think we all owe her a debt of gratitude for her undying devotion to the art of nature photography. She was always kind in her critiques, but was able to give good suggestions where needed. I published my first online article on her web site. All through the process she gave valuable insight. I met many of you here via her site through the forums. I watched many grow to be better photographers over the years. She counted on volunteers, donations to join and put up with a lot of personalities over the years. She did it with grace and quiet humility. I talked to her by phone on one occasion. She treated my suggestions with respect and I gained a new friend that day. Thank you so much Debbie for your site. Most of all thanks for you! As I move along in my photographic pursuits, I will always remember where I got my start, online, and who gave it to me. I wish you well in your future prospects. Thank you once again.

Photomigrations was the first sight I ever posted an image to I still remember how nervous I was and how bad the image was Lol but with the help of some fine photographers including Debbie herself I was able to grow and learn. I hope nothing but the best for her.

I echo the sentiments of Grady, Artie and Don. PM was a large part of my start in Bird Photography and I learned a lot, much of it thanks to Debbie. I wish her all the best and thank her for her help and guidance.

Thank you Artie, Don and Grace for leaving a comment about Debbie Ferrell's site. My hope is that any who view this thread will at least some kind words in some small way before clicking off to another post. We all owe her for what she did for us, she got most of us started posting and critiquing. Past differences of opinion should be set aside. Thank you all for reading this far.

Although I did not post there, it was one of the first (if not the first) nature photography forums that I stumbled upon and lurked on...I had no idea of all the bird photographers and amazing photos out there and I was in awe of what was being posted online, and that there were even such communities thriving on the internet for such activities. That site helped me open my eyes to artistic bird photography and to set a goal of creating such bird images. So yes, a huge thank you to Debbie is certainly something we should offer her!!

Thanks Grady.
I ditto Artie's comment!!!
Photomigrations was one of my first forum experiences. As a matter of fact that is where I met Chris Ober (Admin Deluxe) and got the nickname (one of many) "Darth Vader".
Debbie is welcome here if she misses nature photography forum participation.
