A Greater Hoopoe Lark on the run in the Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat.
These birds are extremely difficult to spot on the dry sun baked land of Kutch.
Even if you see one, they are always on the run.
Made with a Canon 550D + Sigma 150-500.
F 6.3 | ISO 400 | SS 1/2500 @ 500mm. Manual / Eval.

Very nice capture; congrats on catching him on the run. I can see how they would blend in to the dry environment. Interesting that you chose to position him further right than left (or was he just ahead of the curve?) In any case, it works for me.
Well done image. As Bill stated , it shows the birds ability to blend in with it's environment. Great story telling. I would prefer a little more room on the right.
Quite a fun image and title. I like the unconventional composition...would wish for just a bit of an agle toward the viewer. I see some odd banding near the top of the frame.
