Hi Brendon - excellent sharpness and detail. I can't decide if the blade of grass is a plus or a distraction . It does feel just the slightest bit tight on the rhs. Any more room or is this ff?

    Hello Brendon,

I have the same dilemma about the grass but in the end all that matters is what you had in mind here when processing. A "cleaner" image is usually more appealing to me from the aesthetic point of view, on the other hand when I look at the grass here it makes me think that this youngster has just lifted his head off the ground for a good reason. This leads me to believe that there's something going on there, and thus the story gets more interesting. So in this case, if anyone asks me, I vote for the grass to stay

I love the luminosity in this image (if I may call it that), there's also a lot of warmth and great detail. Even more, there's a bit of innocence on this subadult's face, something candid and gentle-beautiful capture Brendon, congratulations!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Great soft light, side profile and glint in the eye.
I like the grass, sets it apart from being "just another profile". Adds some alternate colour too.
It feels a bit tight on the RHS to me too, but no deal breaker...

Hi Brendon, beautiful lion portrait, great light, sharpness, nice soft BG. I find the main branch of grass a bit distracting though. Loi

Superb details in here, the eye is so nicely captured here it almost feels alive in the frame if you look at it for bit longer , i simply love it
i do feel a need for a silver on the right but i am so much in love with the eye that cant ask for more in a image

Cool image Brendon, adding some room to the right would be good.
