    Hi folks ,
a quick lion from my old Etosha images.
Got this nice male on the road between Okaukuje and Halali. He crossed the road many times from left to right , forward and backward. Was kind of nervous, for whatever reason, he kept his secret .After a while he disappeared over the big grass plain.

    Thanks for watching

    Nice.
I'd flip it left-right. Why? So that instead of its rump in the dominate 1/3 corner (left - top) the head is.
It would also be walking into the image instead of out of it.

Hi Andreas, looks a bit 'battle' scared and judging on the facial expression quite a grumpy old fellow too.

Don't have a problem with the travel direction, but if you have it, a tad more space below would be good I think. having had to shoot with the old MKIV on reflection I think it does pump in a tad more black, although did you add Contrast to the image? Also, in comparison with previous images I think it lacks clarity & sharpness, especially given the techs. Not convinced on these interim ISO's, think you could have gone to 200 without any loss overall. You have my thoughts/RP on a direction it perhaps needs to take, be interesting the thoughts from others

Hope you get a few more comments on this one, appreciate your time in posting on others who post images.

Hello Andreas! It's great to see you posting, and what an interesting character this male lion is! So full of battle wounds...If I may ask-is this full frame? I am at work right now and looking on my laptop, so not sure about the IQ or colors, but if the image can take it, and if it was mine I would attempt a portrait crop-I would love to show this lion in all his glory, scars and all

Looking forward to more images from you,

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Andreas - nice walking pose with a full mane and as others said, plenty of battle scars. I would prefer a bit more room below and to the right for him to move into. If it were mine I would reduce the reds slightly. I do think that Steve has a point about the clarity and sharpness compared to your other images, particularly in the face. I hope your workload has lessened a little bit so that you have time to post more regularly. You've been missed.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Thanks folks,
appreciate your comments, sadly it is full frame , so no more room all around .
Think will try a new attempt, just got out of exercise for this guy ,if my time allows tonight.

Anyway would love to be more active , maybe soon .........

    Regards Andreas

Hi folks, cannot remember what kind of devil was sitting in my neck while processing the OP, looks quite ugly and unnatural to me.

Reworked with less layers and fancy moves, Hope this works better for your critical eyes, for me it does.

    Tell me your thoughts.

    Cheers Andreas

Whatever works for you. But, I never post immediately after processing, I leave it overnight and re evaluate next day.

Good to see an Etosha lion, Andreas!
Looks like a character...I find it a bit tight but not a big issue.
    Repost colour/vibrance is much better.

The RP looks a lot better. I don't mind the travel direction. Just wished to see the pupil on his right eye. Loi
