    I really like the calling pose and the angle of the perch in this shot. Of course the sweet background is killer as well. Good detail on the bird and the oof tail doesn't bother me. I'm unsure of the HA. I can't tell if the head is turned slightly toward us or slightly away from us. One of those optical illusions, lol. Just not being able to tell keeps me looking at it though.

    Hi Greg, great use of flashwork, and the finer detail on the plumage shows up very well. Love that eye, and I do like the fosilized texture to the perch. Cool BG - what is it?

    Nice and simple. Normally I'd wish for a better HA, but I'm liking it as is here. I do think you could perhaps lighten the iris a bit, but not knowing this species I do not know how vivid the red eye is in real life so it is maybe accurate as posted.
