Had the opportunity to photograph Caracara during a trip to Texas. As you can see, this one had a pretty full crop. The light was a bit harsh, but I really like the upturned wing tips on this one.

Love the wing position, dangling talons, and fanned tail feathers. Good eye contact too. Can you extract any more detail in the darks?

Big crop? love the details in this one. Agree with Doug about getting more detail on darks. Love pose, eye contact and I don't find the light harsh.

I find myself thinking everything Doug mentioned about this one. I too like the wings, tail, and talons. I can tell the lighting wasn't what you would have liked by the exposure of the sky but I don't think it detracts from the overall shot that much. Great detail in the light areas (tail feathers, for example) but less so in the dark areas.

Hi Marina, you pretty much nailed this in all aspects. Fantastic wingspread with curled primaries, and the fanned tail feathers look great too. The light doesnt look too harsh. Very well captured.

    This is excellent.
The pose and IQ are great.
I wish the light had been coming from the left to light up the blacks but not a big deal for me.
    A shot to enjoy,
    Gail

Very nice pose and wing position. The techs look great and the details are very clear. Yes the light looks a bit harsh but it was handled well. Nice job getting a cool flight shot of this species.
