Here's a spoonbill from Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Captured Av mode with Canon 40d and Canon 100-400L IS lens at 400mm. 1/2500 sec at f5.6, iso 200, partial metering -1/3 EV. Seems like you have to wait a long time just to catch a spoonbill with his bill out of the water.

I really enjoyed meeting a lot of you BPN folks Saturday at the Alligator Farm. I wasn't able to return on Sunday, so I hope everyone who did had a nice time.

    Hi Tim,

It was nice meeting you, I really enjoyed the lunch too! thank you for taking us there!!

This image works for me very well, I like the elegant pose, colors and details. The bird looks dirty but nothing you can do about that!! :)

Take care and hope to see you soon!

Very pretty image of the Roseate and I like the lifted foot in this capture as well as the great color and detail.

    Hi Tim,
The small waves and dark blue BG really make this one stand out. Like the action too.
    Nicely done
