    I caught the beauty of this composition of Black eyed susans out of the corner of my eye as i was feeding my dog one morning. I love it when that happens! What caught my eye was how they were glowing yello against a shadowed background.

    I love the composition here as well as the dark BG. I would be inclined to lighten up the bud and stem at the top of the frame a bit.

    Nice pictureBob.
    I like the lighting and the nice dark background. I agree with the comment about the bud at the top being slightly to dark.

    The soft light is great and the composition balances the frame well. I might take a small layer of the bottom but really like it as posted.

    Good field technique, 100MM macro lens, tripod and f/16...nice!

    One more thing: consider lightening the center of the flower...maybe a bit more of that wonderful soft light.

    I like the contrast here a lot with the dark bg. I agree with Ian about lightening the buds a bit. They will really pop if you could
