Woodpecker with a different pose
This one is a Lesser Yellow naped woodpecker, this one is from the Western ghats and looks a bit different than the Northern variety found in India.
These guys tend to come down to water in the summers and this was clicked at the peak of summers this year.
5D MIII + 400 f2.8 + 2x M II
f7.1, 1/320, ISO 3200

The HA is a bit away however i like this since the yellow nape is more visible in this angle , i did under expose it a bit in the field and had to raise the exposure in post.
Would like to know your views.
Critiques and suggestions welcome

Vishal, You mentioned the head angle. In this image, I think it's fine. I'm curious as to what the bird is looking at and don't miss the eye contact. I'm not fond of that large perch intersecting the frame in the way that it does. you did a good job of adjusting your exposure in post, noise seems fairly minimal. I would work on the bright green areas that draw attention, especially the one above the bird's head.

What an awesome woodpecker! I love the colors on this bird, he looks rather small. I would love to see the whole bird. Exposure looks good to me, bg might be a little bright.

Hi Vishal, love the inquisitive pose, HA fine with me too, and this pose shows off the colours nicely. I like your pano crop too. I can see a bit of noise on the cheek and belly, and agree, blending in the light green area about the head will smoothen out the BG.
