    This proud fellow was the point man at Green Cay Wetlands. He was captured with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 300mm f/4D and a Nikkor 1.4 T/C.
    focal length @ 420mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / ISO @ 400 /
    1/800sec - f/5.6 / exposure comp @ -1.3EV / white balance @ auto / AF Mode @ AF-C /
    color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ 0 degrees / hue adjustment @ 0 degrees /
    saturation factor @ 2 degrees / no speedlight / no tripod /
    There use to be power lines in the background, but they were cloned out...:eek:

    Neato Gus! Really like this image a lot! Crop seems a bit off? Scrolling the image bird higher in the frame maybe?

    Super super nice feel to this!

    Nice composition Gus, and the bird has great light on it. I agree about cropping some off the top. Also, the image has a fair amount of noise.

    Hi Gus Fully agree Would tighten the crop Lots of empty space at bottom and right

    Compensation wise you normally will not have to compensate that much when photographing a bird with a sky bg I think the original histogram had to be a little underexposed. Should be the reason for the noisy bg !!! btw when saving might want to use "save for web" and optimize to max size The posted size was 113 kb Don't think it will make a big difference but it can't hurt !!!

    i like the size of the bird in the frame. i'd crop a little off the bottom and let it go. there is a lot of noise in the bg. nice compo, buddy!!

    Nice, Gus! I like the feet hanging on to that gnarly perch. Lots of options with the crop, worth playing around with to see if you find some others that you like.
