I combined 3 shots for this composite...the egret, the sky, and the trees iand geese n the distance. I used remask to cut out the elements. Does it hang together?

Yes, I think this works well. Great dynamic lines in the sky. I like the flow from the egret facing right and the cloud lines leading down to the geese and the one bare tree. Maybe a bit less brightness on the egret, especially at the shoulder. I see a continuous line about 1/2 inch from the top where you added the sky/extra canvas. Some cloning could make that go away.

Excellent composite! This has come out really well! very effective use of those contrails! I like the evening light. I too see the line on the top which can be easily fixed or cropped.

A nice idea! I love how the diagonal clouds are pointing in the direction the egret is looking, and leading to the geese and tree.

I'd just crop back down below the added canvas at the top -- I think the composition is well-balanced without it. I'd put in a lower contrast version of the egret, and I wonder if there is a way to get the egret's back to not blend with the sky.

The branch on the very left is so close to the edge it's vreating tension; you might want to look at a version without it. Th next branch in from the left is nice -- it's cradling the egret.

Nice piece -- I'd like to see your progress on it!

Hi, Bob, I agree that a crop below that line would be just fine and also agree about removing the one tree on the margin. Nicely composited

You've done a great job, my eye naturally flows from left to right. Good advice above. Very nice composition.

Yes, I think it hangs together beautifully. Excellent masking work. As someone wrote above, the clouds and light lead my eye from the egret to the right. Well done.

Pretty different and interesting Bob. All the thoughts above occurred to me also. I would add that there is an amazing mirroring of the bird's bill by the contrails in the sky. Cool!
