    Default Micanopy Cemetary Part 2

This is from my recent trip to Micanopy Cemetary. I had vasoline smeared lightly on my UV filter to create a kind of dreamy effect. Converted in Creamtone black and white in LR and added a slight vignette in LR also. Sorry I haven't been participating much - have been very, very busy.

Communicates to me a real feeling of melancholy. The conversion to B&W gave this image an almost infrared look.

Hi Cheryl, excellent composition and processing... love the dreamy effect. I also think creamtone b&w conversion adds to the image.

I've read about the vaseline thing....works here well. Was the tree trunk growing out of a grave? Wondering why it is the point of interest, front and center.

Love it! Great effect, perfect for a cemetery!

What would you think about adding a little more blur along the left edge? The detail to the left of the tree pulls my eye. The right edge is drop-dead gorgeous!

Would be easy to do in PS.

Thanks, Diane. It would be easy to do and if I print it I will go back and blur it a little. I had to leave a clean space on the lens so I could get good focus when I took the picture

Very dreamy image, I never tried to smear anything on my lenses. Nice resulting image. We've all been busy this spring and summer, I'm trying to see 600 species this year and am at 388. I see lots of travel in the near future. I should have never watched the movie "The Big Year".
