You did a nice job in composition, with the Titmouse on the right
and the leaves on the left. The head angle is also nice.

The one question I have is, was the Titmouse in shadow and
you tried to fix that in post?

    CM,

Nice pose and the frame is balanced well but technically there are opportunities. The image is soft and the mixed light doesn't help. But the lack of detail is the story here....in bird photography I look for four main staples:
    1. Critical detail
    2. Sharp, clean well lit eye
    3. Complementary background/foreground...
    4. Effective use of light...remember we do not shoot the subject...we shoot the light

In this image the detail is missing...your shutter speed is fine consider a tripod or better field technique bracing the camera. The composition is strong...well done and the image has a good feel. Work on detail...keep em coming.

One more thing: how large was the crop...the subject should be at least 20% of the original image? Large crops cause the IQ to degrade and make the picture appear soft!

Nice one CM. I would give more room to the bird above. Agree with Jeff on the detail. The feet look pretty good so maybe the eye/head is a little in front of the depth of field?

I like what you did to the Titmouse.

I will send you my raw pictures from now on, and let you adjust then for me.

    Thanks
