The Upstate South Carolina Region of the Carolinas' Nature Photographers Association had an outing to photograph birds in Gary Carter's fabulous backyard setup this past weekend. When I got in from the workshop on Saturday, BeePNogie was waiting patiently for me in his cage...
So he got up early Sunday morning, and headed out to photograph birds - he was disappointed to have missed the black-throated blue warbler and the bathing American redstart from Saturday, be he got some good birds on Sunday...and met 11 CNPA photographers.
He did get a chance to hang out behind the camera for a while...
And just when he thought he was going to have a chance to relax today, he had to help with some macro shots. Jason Kinsey, a photographer and biologist friend from Georgia, stopped by for a bit today and had a go at the captive fire-bellied toads. BeePNogie had to supervise, wrangle toads, and offer advice.
Towards the end of the week, BeePNogie and his new friend (CUTENESS ALERT - some great shots coming!!!) are going to be two of the members of an advance scouting party headed to a private barrier island off the Florida coast to scout for shorebirds and painted buntings...
Oh... His new friend usually gets BOTH a morning nap (around 0930) and an afternoon nap (around 1600)... I can't wait to get them out in the field togather...
