Well it's now come to the end, a very intense 9 days, the three Little owlets have now all fledged. Some very long days, sitting, watching, then suddenly a few minutes of action. They have proved to be fun, curious, trusting at times when I have arrived early, but most of all, fully of character. Not too sure of their hunting ground area and if Mum & Dad will allow then near by, will need to find out over the coming months, but great to see such a healthy broad, obviously it's a good hunting ground for them in this location. This one is No. 2, he/she was watching Dad foraging on the ground for bugs, beetles or even the odd earthworms.

Cool looking owl Steve. I like your composition here, it worked well on a unusually shaped perch. Love the owls pose in this one, nicely done.

Awesome comp that works very well. I love the foliage at bottom and the pose is just too sweet. I'm seeing a bit of a blue cast on the plumage though, perhaps try to warm up the image (or just the subject).

    Cheers Vivaldo.

Daniel, my thoughts too, I tried dropping either the cyan and or blue, nothing, adjusting the blue in Curves, likewise removing the blue from the white, no joy, any thoughts? It seems to be consistent on all those images, so perhaps there is a hint in the actual plumage?

Cheers Sanjeev, guess I'm following in your footsteps with this subject.

Daniel, went back to the RAW, the mid grey when sampled in the whites was 51.3, 50.0 52.5 so I'm surprised where the cast has come from. Anyway, hopefully have now addressed the RAW and here is a RP, looks better IMHO.

Very nice comp, the perch works really well.
The foliage at the bottom really made this work and a great eye...

Hi Steve. What a little sweetie. I really like the curious look and pose and all that downy. I only wish you had a little less dof for a softer bg
