This was taken in late spring in a ditch along the roadside. The BG is lawn grass. Taken from my vehicle with the camera resting on the mirror. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Sweet shot, Jim. A species I've yet to capture. Love the perch and the nice HA. Neutral tones of the bird and perch work nicely with the green bg. I'd be tempted to take a slivver off the bottom and add equally to the top.

Stunning image Jim, perfect perch, head angle and lovely BG. I also would add a little on top though.

A real beuty in terks of pose, colors, background and perch. Photographed one but it had the wrong head turn.

Repost is better, yes. A species I only photographed once. Did you need to use audio (or placement near a nest), or was it landing on this perch luck?

Thanks for the comments Karl and Daniel. I saw two of them landing on this perch frequently and when I drove by they were there. A nest could be nearby but I didn't see it. No audio was used just fortunate timing.

Awesome image of this species Jim. The perch quality is top notch. You made the most out of your fortunate timing here. Great light and a perfect head angle.
