As good as it gets pose-wise...check out those feet! Great wings-up position too. Good job on the exposure, although I feel some of the blacks could go a tad deeper. Details are nice and the texture of the water below pretty neat. I could do without the pink strip above - its' hue is nice but the stripe itself is distracting IMO.

Absolutely superb flight pose with full wings up and nice HA. I like the beautiful water with golden reflections in it.
    Very nice composition too.

    Regards,
    Satish.

    Vivaldo:

Dan covered it well, Great pose, feet, exposure. I had the same reaction to the pink band at top, even before reading his comments.

A mighty fine coot picture, for sure.

    Cheers

The takeoff pose is perfect. I like the IQ and the sharpness.
If mine, I would get rid of the salmon colored band at the top as I find my eye going there a lot.
I think this is a red knobed coot? On my monitor the blacks look OK,
    Gail

I like the wing position, big feet, IQ, water colours and composition. I could do without the band at the top as well. Excellent image Vivaldo!

Very nice Vivaldo. I like the flight pose and those big feet are displayed well. Exposure looks good to me as do the blacks on my monitor. Good looking coot shot!!

Thanks for suggestions, have been trying to remove banding, unfortunately it's on the original raw file so will need to do some blend. Gail you are correct, it's a red knobbed coot.

Hi Viv, great that you got him flying, they are normally normally chasing each across the water. Nice and sharp, with excellent exposure. I feel you have the blacks spot on.
