Another image from my Africa trip. I was photographing a Long Crested Eagle on this perch when this Augur Buzzard flew in and took over the perch. Lucky for me since I had been trying to approach him a few times before without success.

Wonderful looking buzzard. Impressed how thick its talons are. Poor rodents! :D

Details look good and eye is sharp

Have you tried lightening the head especially the dark side to make the other eye visible?

    Thanks for sharing Loi

Hi Loi, good intense stare, and this pose shows off the cheat area and feather detail very well. Comp works well, and just enough perch to not being over-powering. You were probably in a vehicle, but asking the driver to have moved to your left, may have given you more of an angled shot.

Good looking individual and nice perch. vertical comp works well. i agree in moving left, if possible, and if not then waiting for the hawk to turn its head its left (our right) to minimize the heavy shadow on that side of the face.

I really like the ruffled up feathers, nice feather detail, and nice perch.

Nice shot Loi. Good job with the exposure as the whites look real nice and there is allot of detail in them. I like the puffed pose and the perch also. Maybe a better HA would have been better but this looks fine to me. Well done.
