Its not often that I can say that I had too much glass, but as I was given this lens combo for the morning shoot, I made the most of it. This Flamingo was feeding closer than I thought, and only just managed to get the top of the the body in. The light had just appeared over the water, thus the warm colours. Taken at a wetlands near Johannesburg. I added a bit of canvas on top, and cropped to vertical.

Stuart Sir,
Excellent image with wonderful details in whites.
Love the feeding pose with raised foot just touching the water, shades of pink, nice reflection in beautiful water.
Thanks a stack for the kind words and feedback. To be honest, the rotation did bug me before posting, but I couldnt put my finger on it. Im still unsure if my repost is correct, but here goes.
Viv. Its not a new toy, the lens combo was pushed into my face to use for the morning. I have great photography mates who have spare lenses lying around.
This is a beautiful shot Stuart.
Love the light and the drinking pose.
I also like the ripples, very nice background, and great shooting angle.
Your repost looks better but I think it still needs just a sliver of ccw rotation.
Well done.
The light is to die for in this image.
IQ is amazing and the low POV and tight comp is perfect.
I think the repost addresses the rotation issue.
I like the reflection lines of the water on the face and neck.
Lovely dainty feeding pose.

Killer light cast upon this beautiful Flamingo. Dosnt get much better. One of the best Flamingo shots I have seen on this site! Has it all, great light, feather detail, action and a nice smooth BG. Very Nice Stuart!
