This shot was probably two or three frames before the last one I posted.
As I mentioned in my last post, I was sitting in my truck with a friend, photographing a Peregrine falcon eating a coot, when this beautiful immature bald Eagle came in and challenged her for her meal. It was awesome to see her come in so close.I did not add any canvas to this shot as it is completely full frame.
I left it the way it was just so you could see full frame and and I actually think it looks pretty good. Maybe a little tight on the top.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. Appreciated

David, great shot! I like the image as is with sharp and great details. BIF from a car window is really hard, you did a superb job here. Love the tri-color BG too. Loi

FF eh! Pretty cool. I must admit that artistically I'd prefer a looser composition though. Perhaps also a bit more sharpening for web presentation. Still a high impact image with great light, BG, techs. Excellent opportunity and not wasted at all!

    Thanks everyone for the comments.

I kept this full frame because it was the actual capture and I was happy to get both wings in the frame.
I added some canvas above and to the left for a more balanced comp and added some more sharpening.
    Thanks again

Full frame here is pretty crazy. The size of the subject in the frame makes it all the more formidable. Sharpening on the repost is even better. I wish those talons had squeaked into critical focus....regardless, this rocks.

    The repost is stunning!
I am glad you sharpened more as I thought the legs needed it.
    FF eh?!! Very impressive.
Love the light and the 3 colored Bg,

    David:

Well done to squeeze this fellow into the frame with such a good pose. Repost is better, re: comp and sharpening. Wings are still sharper than the legs, but less striking on the repost.

I like the layered bg, but the green is so vivid, that I might try a version with it toned down just a sliver.

    Cheers

I like the OP best with just a bit more sharpening, but at FF, I am surprised you got the focus you achieved at that length.

Really enjoyed meeting you and photographing with you while in So. Cal. David! Pretty awesome frame you've got here! I prefer the added canvas of the repost and I could see a little additional sharpening of the bird's head and talons.
