Nice footwork and neat angle for the bird.
I might get rid of the dark spot on the left side, but otherwise
your usual very nice comp and IQ.

    Gail:

Very dynamic pose, the diagonal lines of the wings and head work well against the horizontal lines in the water.

    Sharp, well exposed.

In a perfect world, head free of merge with wing would be nice, but perhaps not possible with this dramatic leaning pose.

    Cheers

Excellent image Gail! I like the action, sharpness, splash/trailing water and composition. I am fine with the head merging with the wing.

Gail, this is fantastic! Very dynamic, I can feel the movement and the low angle has given you a great perspective...I especially like the texture of the water and wavelets.

Nice pose Gail. Love the colors and the water looks great . Techs look great and the detail pops off the screen. Only nit would be the HA. Wish it wasnt married with the wing. Well done as always.

Hi Gail, just love this 'out the blocks' pose, especially the raised foot. Great DOF on the egret, sharp, and with good feather detail throughout. Well captured.

    Wonderful pose and excellent techs!

I think your placement of the bird in the horizontal direction is perfect but I'd like to see it just a tiny bit higher in the frame vertically.
