This was taken last week near my house. I haven't been out in a while and was happy to get some flight images. This is a fair crop. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Nice wing position and calling pose captured, Jim. This shorebird looks best in flight.

Hi Jim, great wing position captured here, and the colours look good against the clear sky. I feel your 'fair' crop has held up well,

Nice to see you posting again Jim.
I like the wing pose but feel the large crop has really made the IQ suffer. Head looks a bit blurry to me but no one else has mentionned this so maybe I need glasses!!
I also see a green cast on the far underwing.

I also see the green caste, but a nice, tough to get, BIF of these little guys.

    Jim:

Excellent full down pose, angle in frame.

Agree with color cast, in fact the sky looks slightly magenta on my monitor, in addition to the green on the wing.

I do think the crop has softened the IQ a bit.

    Cheers

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. The green under the wing is a reflection from the corn the Killdeer was flying over. I thought the IQ was suffering from the crop and hope to get a closer image next time around.

    Hi Jim
good job on capturing this very challenging subject. I have many in flight shots of birds but only one or two of Killdeer.

and they are okay ish at best.exposure looks good but just a hair soft. I'm sure you will get him next time..
