Hi Greg, a bird I havent seen before. With Australia being such a vast country, there must be hundreds of wildlife not seen by mankind. What strikes me with this fellow is the half green eye ring. Love the foliage covered perch, and separated nicely from the BG. Your flashwork is nice and subtle, although I would try and reduce the size of the catchlight.

Lovely bird, but the bright OOF shapes on the right compete with it. What would you think about blurring them more, and then see if their contrast needs further work after that? For me, a vertical crop would also work well with the static pose of the bird.

I like the interesting perch, pose, colours, flashwork and bird. I would reduce the size of the catchlight as well.Well done Greg!

Beautiful bird, awesome perch, great colours. I love the BG, but I think Diane is on to something...but rather than blurring I would just lightly tone down the OOF foliage at right to match the luminosity of the ones at left.
