Another wonderfully looking bird that I saw on my trip to Africa.

The BG thorns? distract with their luminance. However the eagle is excellent, with a fine exposure and detail.

    Wonderful shot.
Great pose, very nice soft light, and nice details.
I would try to remove the branch near it's head.
    Well done.

The bird is so beautifully sharp! I love the thorns -- they are a very artistic BG.

Great bird and perch. Techs look good, details nice. Excellent comp too. The top bright area and the OOF branches do detract IMO. I'd also try a warmer version, but certainly OK as is too.

Thats a great looking eagle. Never seen one of these before. With its body position it looks like there is a portion of the tail missing.

Sharp and lots of details available. I like the thorns too. Shows it lives in a bit of a hostile environment

    Loi,
I think this is the nicest image you have posted. Love. love the BG clors and that raised crest!I would clone out the thorn branches near the head.
    Well done,
    Gail

Thank you everyone for your comments. Finally got a little time to do a bit of clean up around the head of the bird. I can't do much about the bright sky, cloning it looks a bit phony, so I left it alone. Hope you like it better.

One of my favourite eagles, and a rare spot in a good open location like this Loi.
Lovely clarity and soft light. Overall I would like to see it warmed up a bit, and there's a bit of a green/cyan cast?
