    Default Eye Level Barn Swallow

I was watching for birds, on a boardwalk, with some heavy winds happening. The Barn Swallows were just hovering about 10 feet in front of me, so I went back to the car and got my camera. This bird came by and turned its head in my direction and I got lucky, face and body was fairly sharp. These are one of the most common yet beautiful birds in our area. I applied a fotosketcher oil painting effect and played with the slider adjustments. Its just a normal day here in Canada we had our countries birthday on Monday, have a great holiday weekend. Ciao for now.

I agree Paul that they are beautiful birds but I've never seen one still for long. Nice oil painting effect.

The bird seems to be posing for you--perfect position. Lovely colors and details. Nicely processed.

Great pic. I have spent an excessive amount of time tryig to get a swallow in flight. They are always too fast for me! Nice treatment also.
