This is a creation using two photos that I manipulated in photoshop with distort and transform. I was expressing the idea that birds have the freedom to fly, but that evolutionary choice is also a trap: they must fly. Did I succeed?

You bet you did. I love this image. Don't know how you created the box, but think it is a great visual effect.

Nice concept piece Dawn, and it does indeed convey your thoughts. The mapping onto the faces of the inside of a cube is awesome! Can you share how you did it?

I think you did succeed in conveying the sense of freedom and restriction. Your explanation tells us what the restriction is. Very nicely done! Love the concept and execution. Beautiful colors and light.

Nice idea Diane, I've also used a box like this in the past. I really like the sky color and the birds position in the image.

Thanks to all for your feedback. I did this in Photoshop, under the auspices of Jim Zuckerman in his Out Of the Box class.

By the way, my name is Dawn, not Diane. I understand there is a lovely person named Diane Miller. :)
    Thanks again, Dawn
