    Default Meet Narlee

This picture makes me think of the wolf in Little Red Riding Hood, though this dog is way to sweet for that role.

Well, I went to two different events for homeless dogs this past Saturday.
One of them was an adoption event that is regular and the other was big Pet Fiesta in Reston Town Center.

The good news is I made a lot of contacts and booked a few more events. The bad news is that in about a four hour time frame, I ended up with over 800 pictures of homeless dogs.

Narlee is a Collie / Shepherd mix that is very photogenic, though the eye-spots make me think there is some Rottie or Doberman in there somewhere. Narlee was also very friendly and sat in my lap and gave me kisses while I was taking pictures of some of the other dogs for Collie Rescue Inc.

I really need to get out and find some birds this week as the Common Yellow-throats should be out. They are my target bird for two years now.

Oh Jim these dogs are gorgeous. I would be constantly in tesrs !!!! Wish I had about fifty acres and I would take them all. This is a gorgeous image and I feel like I could just reach out and hug this one. Awesome work Jim and I am so glad you care.

    Hi Jim,

Wonderful image. You couldn't be involved in a better cause. As you know, many people should never own pets in the first place!! We presently have 2 dogs and 3 cats - all have been rescued:):):)!!!

I just wanted everyone to know that I adopted Narlee. She has a great home and spends a lot of time chasing butterflies.

I noticed she was gone from the web site. I'm glad to hear she has a great home now.

    P.S.

We require full, real names here. Hope you stick around.

    Jim,
An excellent example how photography can make a difference.

Your well done image is the reason Narlee now has a home.

To wake up an old thread, I met Narlee's new family at an event yesterday. She's got a great home and was looking really good. Funny thing, I was so caught up in seeing her, that I didn't even invite them in the booth for some pictures! Oh well, it was great to meet up with her again and talk to her new family.
