    Default Beneath the Surface

The entrance to the Harn Museum in Gainesville, FL is a bridge over pools on both sides. I liked the different shapes and lines in tile work and thought it would look nice in black and white. I especially liked the kind of abstract look that being underwater gave it. I was undecided about leaving the dark slice in the upper right corner but wanted to keep all of the triangle in the middle so left it as it is.

Pleasing texture and pattern. If mine, would crop just below the black patch in the right upper quad.

I like the textures and patterns. Here's my fix with content aware fill and a tiny amount of clone cleanup.

Thanks, Judy, for working on this. I think I'm going to go back to the original and see if I've got more room at the top to trip a different crop. I definitely want to keep the triangle.

Nice natural effect of the water, and not being aware of the surface makes it even more interesting. I like what Judy did with CA fill, and I think the crop would work also. Just from doing a "scroll crop" on my browser it looks fine, as my eye then interprets the smaller triangle as being a part of the rectangle on the right, if that makes any sense.

Another way, a bit more work, might be to stamp the texture of the rocks to cover the blank triangle and thus eliminate it.
