Lovely portrait, Satish. I really like the pose, the background, and your comp. I might back off on the sharpening just a little but I'll be interested to hear what others say.

Lovely image with a nice pose, perch and BG. You have nice details esp in those shoulders feathers. I wonder whether you may have been focused on the bird's side rather than it's head since there is a slight loss of details in the head in comparison. If you have the room, you may take a bit off of the left and add top and right to give the bird a little more space.

Hi Satish, certainly a cool pose, and against a lovely coloured BG. Well exposed on both the whites and blacks, and I can see where Melissa is coming from with regards to over sharpening - there is a strong halo around the bird

Agree with comments about head and crop.

    Satish:

Good discussion from the crew. I do agree about the point of focus not being on the head. Yes to a noticeable halo, so I would revisit the sharpening and watch your masking on the body, and hit the head a bit harder, although it might start to look a bit 'strained' if pushed too hard.

I like the overall color palette.

    Cheers

    Satish,
Nice-looking bird and nice pose too. The exposure looks great and I like the perch in background also.
I can see that the head is a little off. Maybe a bit too much sharpening. Either way still a nice shot.
    Well done
