    Bill,

    You did well capturing the details in the ducks and the composition works well. You can bring more attention to the ducks by cropping this into a pano. Don't worrying about losing the reflection as well as taking more of the top. Getting the head turn so that the parent and offspring's heads are parallel to the camera is you ultimate goal.
