Hi, Jackie, sorry to hear about your ankle! I like this image a lot - the textures and the colors and especially the shapes of the leaves.

I love this! The colors glow!
Best wishes for your recovery -- that's a long time to be inconvenienced! And feet are pretty important.
A few months ago I ran into a guy in a motorized wheelchair in a bird sanctuary near Charleston. He looked like he had a major mobility issue but the wheelchair had a thing in the back like a big bicycle basket with 3 (or maybe it was 4!) BIG lenses each on a big tripod. There was a 600 and an 800, and 1-2 others. He had a wife or girlfriend to get them for him, and it was just amazing to see this setup and his determination to overcome adversity! We talked a while and he was very knowledgeable. I wish I'd gotten his name, but we were in a rush and I just didn't.

I looked in on your blog, many interesting, lovely, colorful images. Your image above has a unique style and lovely color and composition. Well done
You must have really done a number on that ankle to be still on the mend, after 9 months, wow. Best of luck. Happy Canada Day

Jackie, I'm with you on the sidelines right now. I've had a back issue since last November and am still trying to recover from the surgery.
Hope we both get back to it soon!
I like the rich colors and contrast between the two sharp leaves in the foreground and the large OOF one on the left. The leaves on the top frame the image nicely. Cool textures too!

Thanks Kerry and Paul for the comments. Kerry I wish you a speedy recovery. No fun when you can't be as mobile as you want.
