    Dan:

Excellent IQ on the head, very sharp, well exposed, good shooting angle, bad hairdo!

Just for personal taste, I would crop 20% of the free space off the top.

    Cheers

What a cutie (even with the mullet)! Wonderful detail in the head and eye engagement, plus lovely water/background. Well done.

Gorgeous! I love the shallow DOF and the water is amazing. Agree with the suggested crop. I'd love to see a little more on the bottom, to include more of the reflection.

Love the sense of forward motion on this one.
The IQ on the face is excellent. I will be the odd girl out and say that I like your comp as is.

I agree with the great IQ and wonderful green background. Feel this just needs a small bit of CW rotation but its just my opinion

The D800 is going further up my scale of things I need to buy ;)

Hi Dan, good low shooting angle, and you certainly nailed the detail on the head - excellent sharpness there too. With regards to the space on top, I too would take a bit off.

Gorgeous portrait of this duck, with a nice sense of motion in the sweet green water. The detail around the face and eye is excellent. Wish the duck had not been as close to you, as a bit more dof for the main body of the duck might have been nice. Dig the mullet!...

I like your comp as is, and just love the forward surge of the duck, the beautiful detail, and her awesome hairdo. Maybe she's in a rush to the hairdresser.

Love the detail in the face and the surge of water up the chest. And I wish I had enough hair for a bad hairdo like that ;)

Almost makes me glad I'm losing my hair these days LOL.

Stunning detail Dan, love the clear water bow wave, the eye is 100% sensational as is the overall exposure.....in a perfect world a little more dof would be nice, but at the same time as it is draws more attention to the head region with all that character.
